Kapiolani Residence
Located at 1631 Kapiolani Blvd in Ala Moana
Kapiolani Residence opened its doors to residents at the end of 2018 and was the first residential tower built by SamKoo Pacific LLC in the Ala Moana neighborhood. With the influx of construction in the urban core of Honolulu, many people are curious about what it is like inside these new and shiny buildings and how the prices compare to the surrounding pre-existing condos.
For many residents, they were pleasantly surprised with the construction of Kapiolani Residence. The building featured a beautiful stone style lobby that flows towards the 5 elevators to service the building. The stonework continues towards the exterior of the building that features commercial retail units.
Going up the building there is an amenity deck on top of the parking structure that features a party/recreation room, three covered outdoor cabanas, and multiple BBQ grills for residents to enjoy.
From the amenity deck, you can see the dark turquoise blue glass facade which is actually floor to ceiling double-paned glass. This glass helps with the heat, sound, and allows for more privacy during the day.
The building features 11 different floor plans that range from studios all the way up to 3-bedroom units. The building was initially sold with 60% being affordable housing (HHFDC 10 year owner occupant) units and the other 40% was market-priced units.
Depending on the unit, you would get an Ocean, Mountain, or Diamond head View. There are no units that directly face the West/Ewa view.
